Oil and Gas prices are soaring and have ignited Edmonton’s energy driven economy with the potential of the Alberta oil-sands.
The 1.1 billion dollar expansion of the Edmonton International Airport has been approved and construction will begin in October of 2008 and will be completed in late 2012. The expansion will add 13 new passenger gates to the existing 17 gates for a total of 30 gates and additional parking spaces and system upgrades. Driven by a 50% passenger increase over the last 3 years, the upgrades will accommodate up to 9 million passengers when complete. |
